Sync your snippet library across Macs
Sign-in is optional. Enable it when you want names, triggers, descriptions, content, and related snippet data available on more than one Mac.
Enable synchronization
Open Account and sync
Select Account and sync in the SnippetCraft sidebar.
Sign in or register
Use your account email and password. If you do not have an account, choose the registration option shown on that screen.
Sign in on the other Mac
Install SnippetCraft and use the same account on each Mac that should receive the synchronized library.
Verify with a test item
Create or update a non-sensitive test snippet and confirm that it appears on the other Mac before depending on sync for an important workflow.
What is synchronized
The privacy policy describes synchronized snippet data as names, trigger sequences, descriptions, and content. The app uses Supabase infrastructure, with data encrypted in transit and at rest as described in that policy.
What is not part of snippet sync
Raw clipboard history remains local and is not uploaded as part of the snippet library. If you turn a clipboard entry into a permanent snippet, that new snippet can become part of sync like other library items.
Keep periodic exports for important libraries. Synchronization keeps devices aligned; an export gives you a portable recovery copy.
If a change is missing
- Confirm both Macs are signed in to the same account.
- Check that each Mac has an active internet connection.
- Reopen SnippetCraft and verify the source change was saved.
- Use a uniquely named test snippet to separate sync issues from search or folder confusion.
