Create your first snippet
A snippet combines reusable text with a memorable trigger. Start with something short and easy to verify, such as an email closing.
Create the snippet
Open Main
Open SnippetCraft and select Main in the sidebar. This is where folders and snippets are managed.
Add a snippet
Use the add control above the snippet list. Give the snippet a clear name and a short description that will help in search.
Choose a trigger
Use a sequence you are unlikely to type accidentally, such as :thanks or ;sig.
Enter the reusable text
Write the content in Snippet Text, then save or update the item.
Test expansion
Open TextEdit or another app, type the trigger, and confirm that SnippetCraft replaces it with the saved text.

Make the snippet easier to find
Names, descriptions, folders, and tags are useful even when you plan to expand by trigger. Later, global search can find the right item without requiring you to remember its abbreviation.
Build from real repetition
The best first library is small. Add text you actually repeat: signatures, addresses, support replies, commands, links, or meeting follow-ups. When a value changes each time, replace it with a dynamic variable.
