Useful before sign-up

Core features should not depend on an account.

Download the app, grant the macOS permission needed for system-wide expansion, and build a useful local library before deciding whether cloud sync belongs in your workflow.

Create and organize locally

Build folders, tags, descriptions, Markdown documentation, and dynamic templates on your Mac.

Expand and search locally

Use triggers and global search in Mac applications without sending every interaction to a server.

Keep clipboard history local

Clipboard content is processed and stored on the device and is not uploaded as part of snippet sync.

Permission with a purpose

Why Accessibility access is required.

macOS requires Accessibility permission for an app to detect a configured trigger and replace it in another application. SnippetCraft uses that permission for system-wide expansion; it does not need browser history to perform the replacement.

  • Enable permission in macOS Privacy & Security settings.
  • Trigger matching and replacement happen on your Mac.
  • Test the first snippet in TextEdit before moving to other apps.
  • Remove and re-enable permission if expansion stops after a macOS update.
