What is stored locally?

In local mode, your snippet library stays on your Mac. Clipboard history is also processed and stored locally.

Can I enable sync later?

Yes. Signing in is optional and enables snippet synchronization across your Macs when you choose it.

Permission with a purpose

Why Accessibility access is required.

macOS requires Accessibility permission for an app to detect a configured trigger and replace it in another application. SnippetCraft uses that permission for system-wide expansion; it does not need browser history to perform the replacement.

Enable permission in macOS Privacy & Security settings.
Trigger matching and replacement happen on your Mac.
Test the first snippet in TextEdit before moving to other apps.
Remove and re-enable permission if expansion stops after a macOS update.
