The short version: Use SnippetCraft for lawful purposes, respect others, don't misuse the service. Your snippets belong to you. We can terminate accounts that violate these terms.
By downloading, installing, or using SnippetCraft (the "App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use the App.
These Terms apply to all users of SnippetCraft, including users of the free version and of SnippetCraft Pro.
SnippetCraft is a macOS application that allows you to create, store, and expand text snippets triggered by short keystroke sequences in any text input field on your Mac. Snippets are stored locally on your device. An optional account enables cloud synchronization of your snippet library across multiple Macs.
An account is required only to access cloud sync features. To create an account, you must provide a valid email address and choose a password. You are responsible for:

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these rules without prior notice.
Your snippets and any content you create within SnippetCraft ("Your Content") remain your property. We do not claim ownership of Your Content.
By using cloud sync, you grant us a limited, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to store and transmit Your Content solely for the purpose of providing the sync service to you. We will never access, read, or share the contents of your snippets except as required to operate the service or as required by law.
You are solely responsible for Your Content and for ensuring it does not violate any third-party rights or applicable laws.
SnippetCraft, including its logo, design, code, and all associated materials, is the exclusive property of the SnippetCraft developers and is protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws.
Nothing in these Terms grants you any rights to use our trademarks, trade names, logos, or other brand features without our prior written consent.
The App is licensed to you, not sold. Your license is personal, non-transferable, and limited to use in accordance with these Terms.
THE APP IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, OR NON-INFRINGEMENT.
We do not warrant that the App will be uninterrupted, error-free, or completely secure. We are not responsible for any loss of data, whether caused by technical failures, user error, or any other reason.
We recommend regularly exporting your snippet library as a backup.
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, in no event shall SnippetCraft or its developers be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of data, loss of profits, or loss of business, arising out of or in connection with your use of the App.
You may stop using SnippetCraft and delete your account at any time. Upon account deletion, your synced data will be permanently removed from our servers within 30 days.
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to the App at our sole discretion, without notice, for conduct that we believe violates these Terms or is harmful to other users, us, or third parties.
Upon termination, your license to use the App is revoked. Sections 5, 6, 7, 8, and this section survive termination.
We may revise these Terms from time to time. We will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. For material changes, we will notify registered users by email at least 14 days before the changes take effect.
Your continued use of SnippetCraft after the effective date of any changes constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.
